Freebord - Snowboard the Streets
So, recently I've become irritated that there is an incredible lack of snow in Arkansas. I began to search. After looking over the internet for about an hour I came across a website: http://www.freebord.com I couldn't be any more ecstatic. I finally had found a board which allows you to snowboard on the street.
I ordered mine up last week and have taken it out twice now. The first time I sucked majorly at it, and the second I was a lot better. I am now waiting to get pads and a helmet so that I can bomb a street and not be afraid of busting my face open.
These freebords are amazing, they allow you to snowboard on asphalt. It feels just like the real thing, you can carve, slide, and slash just like you would on a snowboard.
Anyways, this has become my new passion and I should be taking some vids/pics to put up on the blog over the next couple of weeks. Spring break is coming up here soon and I'll be going up to Mount Magazine again to try out freebording on some big hills. I'll have to get my pads and practice all next week if I plan on doing anything spectacular.
